Get Started With Bookbinding

Bookbinding courses take place in my bindery, just outside Yarmouth, West Wight. You will have access to specialised tools, equipment and a broad range of materials, including leather, Japanese and handmade papers.

This course can be taken as one or two days and is a perfect introduction to bookbinding for those who have no experience in making handmade books, or for those looking for a refresher.

Over the two days you will learn basic bookbinding techniques; working with paper, gluing, cutting and sewing and get plenty of opportunity to practice these skills. By the end of this course you will be able to apply different sewing methods and various binding techniques to create distinctive styles of handmade books.

• 10am to 5pm
• £80 per day/£140 for two days, which includes refreshments and lunch
